LA Express Park™, the City of Los Angeles’ intelligent parking management program, is updating the hourly meter rates in Hollywood for August 2022. The rates have been adjusted based on current parking demand and are specific to each meter. Be sure to check your parking meter for the most up-to-date rate and policy.
The new rates will go into effect on August 22nd. On weekdays, the weighted average rate from 8A-10A will decrease by $0.13 and increase by $0.05 from 10A to the end of enforcement hours. During the weekend, the rate will increase by $0.08 cents.
In response to changing occupancy patterns, parking rates within LA Express Park are being reduced in many areas. Parking meters remain enforced to reduce congestion and improve parking availability for local businesses. Restaurants offering takeout and delivery can still apply for a Temporary Food Pick-Up Zone or Temporary Retail Pick-Up Zone here at no charge.
The rates in Westwood, Hollywood, Downtown LA, and Venice have been adjusted based on current parking demand. Please note that all rates are specific to each meter. Be sure to check your parking meter for the specific rate of your parking session. The new rates, effective October 7th, are shown in the map below.
Many parking meters in these areas utilize different hourly rates matching the parking demand during separate time intervals. All parking meter and pay station screens will display the applicable rate and the maximum session time allowed depending on the time-of-day. Please follow posted signage for current time limits and parking restrictions. Meters and pay stations will be equipped to calculate the applicable rates for you if your parking period spans different rate periods.
If you need to park, but would like to avoid touching the meter, look out for stickers such as this one showing which app can be used to pay for your parking session. Only meters with a Parkmobile or Parksmarter sticker can accept payment at this time.
